And of course, it wouldn't be an update without... A MENTION OF THE FISHBOWL INDUSTRIES INC STOOOORE!! I'll try, with each upload, to submit something that has to do with FII in my attempt to get people to check it out. Do visit if you have the time, please! ([link])
Now, Geguiler here is supposed to be wearing the 'I'm With Awesome!' shirt pictured here ([link]), but I made a bit of an error. The letters in the shirt in my drawing are filled-in. >_<; I shan't make such a mistake again! *fistshake*
This also happens to be a first (intentional) try at cel-style shading. It's fairly easy now that I've gotten the hang of it, and I don't think I did too badly for a first try. Geguiler's hair (as usual) did baffle me a bit, however.
Geguiler needs some more of my attention, I think. As it is, little fennec foxes and things are trying to get at his spotlight... as you can plainly see. Being one of *my* characters, I think maybe he's used to it. Small animals burrowing in his hair thinking they're awesome and whatnot. XD
Hahahaha, nice! It tis a good experiment of da shading du cell, and it was a great touch making the background accent the doggy's presence on his head. You're great with human anatomy too, and definitely keep with that outline style ^^!
Pretty soon you won't have to use as many internal "definition" or "detail" lines as your shading will be able to take over.
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.
DeviantArt is full of extremely well produced artistic fashion and fine art photographs. Make up. Styling. Creation of scenery. Story. Light. Glamour. A combination of these expressions sometimes make up a great photograph. But the protagonists of these pictures are usually female.
So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

Huh. And, maybe you're right about the little definition lines. Hmn... Next time I think I'll see what I can do... WITHOUT THEM! *dun dun duuuun!*
At least for once. Now that I think of it, it'd be really interesting. Thanks for putting the idea in my head.
